Types of Cataract Lens Implants Available at LCC

From standard monofocal lenses to glistening free, toric, and presbyopic upgrades we have an option that fits both your needs and budget.

Standard spherical monofocal implant (Ross Memorial Hospital)

This the implant is fully covered by OHIP. It will give you distance vision, provided you have no astigmatism. Most people have some astigmatism, so you will likely need glasses for both distance and near vision after this type of fully-covered surgery.

Apsheric glistening-free upgrade (LCC)

This implant will give you distance vision with upgraded optics. Excimer laser PRK enhancement included (if required). You will need reading glasses.

Toric Upgrade (LCC)

This implant will reduce moderate to severe astigmatism, to give you distance vision. Excimer laser PRK enhancement included (if required). You will need reading glasses.

Presbyopic Upgrade (LCC)

This implant will give distance and near vision. Excimer Laser PRK enhancement included if required.

There is no implant in the world that gives perfect distance and perfect near vision; however, this implant gives you the most independence from glasses after cataract surgery.
