Rather than bringing in visiting surgeons to provide your RLE surgery, Dr. Lane himself will do the surgery for you, and will provide the care you need post operatively.

The Lasik Cataract Centre offers a variety of services for different eye conditions including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, dry eyes and cataracts.

Laser Vision Correction

LCC offers LASIK to the residents of the Kawartha Lakes and surrounding areas. Dr. Lane has performed over 30,000 refractive procedures; helping patients achieve independence from eyeglasses.

LASIK is a premium “laser only” bladeless form of laser vision correction, usually only found in large urban centres (Toronto, Ontario and Rochester, NY being the closest LASIK centres in North America).

Unlike standard LASIK (which uses a blade), LASIK uses a femtosecond laser to make an extremely precise customized corneal flap. The main advantage of LASIK is superior LASIK flap quality, and quicker visual recovery. This world class level of technology is now available in Lindsay.

LCC also offers Advanced Custom PRK Laser Vision Correction, for patients with thin corneas, and large prescriptions.

Refractive Lens Exchange

Removing your natural lens and replacing it with a special intraocular lens implant is called REFRACTIVE LENS EXCHANGE (RLE), when there is no cataract present.

This may be a good option when your prescription is too large for LASIK and PRK to correct.

Refractive Cataract Surgery

Advanced, refractive cataract surgery using the VICTUS femto laser is also offered at LCC.

Your astigmatism can be corrected by the laser, or with a special TORIC implant. Special PRESBYOPIC implants can be also used to give you independence from your glasses.
